To mark the 10-year anniversary of 'Black Moon', Charly Coombes returned to the studio to present a special, reimagined version of the album. Charly explained: "Black Moon was the first album I had produced in full. I had some huge ideas, but I was still scratching away at the basics. It was kind of recorded on the road. I had no guitar, no professional speakers and just a couple of drums mics at my disposal. I really love the charm of the original, but now seems like the perfect time to take a fresh look with the experience and the tools I've gained over the last 10 years."

This not just a remaster or a remix. The album features new arrangements, new production, new vocals and more. "When I told Adam, at Finyl Vinyl, my plans for RETURN TO BLACK MOON he immediately came up with the idea of a limited edition release and, with a nod to the album's original concept about space travel, suggested the special 180g Black Sparkle vinyl," continues Charly. "I'm thrilled with the result and proud to present this album as it was always intended."

Charly Coombes

Charly Coombes is a songwriter, producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. His career started in the early 2000’s playing and co-producing with the British indie-blues band ’22-20s’ before touring with Supergrass and Gaz Coombes, sharing the stage with the likes of Oasis and the Foo Fighters.

Charly started writing and producing his own work after 10 years of international touring and produced his debut album No Shelter in 2013 – Charly has released five studio albums and an EP, including 2015's iconic 'Black Moon'.

Rooted in indie rock, Charly's sound has been constantly progressing, from the orchestral and cinematic to the electro-pop anthems of 2025's 'Tia Fumante'.
