Dozie Kanu (b. 1993 Houston, TX) is a Nigerian-American artist currently living and working in Azoia de Cima, Portugal.
His artistic practice builds it’s foundation from the point of pragmatic sculpture, investigating systems of meaning and utility through the lens of African and African-American life. He obtained his BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York in 2016 with a focus in production design for film and theatre.
